Summer Camp

Betsy-Jeff Penn serves over 1,100 youth every summer with overnight camp and programs for teens. There are few tools as powerful as the camp experience to positively impact the lives of young people. Offering one of the best values in the state for a high-quality summer camp experience, youth gain critical life skills through experiential learning, improve their social skills by meeting and making new friends, and gain an experience that will last a lifetime.

Summer Camp

Overnight Camp

This is the classic residential, six-day summer camping experience for your child, ages 8-12. Children are placed in co-ed activity groups according to age and participate in a variety of activities, including canoeing on Lake Hazel, archery, rock wall climbing, swimming, arts & crafts, cookouts, campfires, nature exploration, teambuilding, high ropes, and more. Programs for Teens

Overnight Stay

Betsy-Jeff Penn offers a variety of camping opportunities for older teens. Six-day, residential Adventure/Trekker programs for teens aged 12-14 offer additional opportunities for learning outdoor living skills and participating in off-site rock climbing and river tubing trips. Our LIT (Leaders-in-Training) program offers leadership development opportunities for campers aged 15-17, where they can still participate in all the camp fun while serving as junior counselors.

Day camp

Daytime Stay

These daily on-site sessions are offered for local youth ages 7-14 to experience all of the fun of camp activities Monday through Friday while spending each evening and weekend at home. Day campers enjoy most of the same activities as their overnight camp counterparts. Rotating from activity to activity, Day Campers swim, climb, canoe, and explore the natural surroundings of BJP’s beautiful campus.
