Night Hikes
Your students will love the thrill of this evening program as they use their own sensory awareness to explore the nighttime environment. Nocturnal animals venture out into the darkness to explore their surroundings, using many senses to locate sources of food, water, and shelter. Students will identify many adaptations of nocturnal animals (i.e. large ears, triangulating hearing, echo location, etc.) through experiential learning games as they hike to different locations on our campus. Night hikes are often the highlight of a student’s overnight visit to Penn!
