Beaver Pond Exploration
Students will learn about a unique natural beaver habitat at the camp. Students will start at the center of camp learning about specific adaptations of the beaver, followed by a hike where students will observe direct evidence of beaver activity along the lake. The hike concludes at an extensive beaver pond habitat built by the beavers using a series of damns. Students will learn about the role these special animals play in the creation of their environment and observe a variety of plants and animals the beaver pond habitat supports.
